Plain English summary: We collect only what we need to run our apps. Going Out needs no account. If you post a review, we store your display name, rating, and review text so it can be shown to others, plus a random device id to fight abuse. We do not sell your personal data. Ever. Email [email protected] to request deletion of your data.

KIBU Global Ventures LLC ("KIBU," "we," "us," or "our") is a veteran-owned limited liability company registered in the State of Oklahoma, USA. We operate the following products and services:

This Privacy Policy applies to all of the above. By using any KIBU product, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

We use the data we collect for the following purposes, each grounded in a lawful basis under GDPR:

04 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our products. Each has its own privacy policy:

Cloudflare (D1 and Workers)

Reviews and the random device identifier are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database through a Cloudflare Worker, used to display, rate-limit, and moderate reviews. Cloudflare also hosts and delivers our sites and processes IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

Anthropic (Claude)

Going Out sends a place's public name, type, and city to Anthropic to generate an original descriptive write-up for the place page. No personal data and no user identifiers are sent. Anthropic Privacy Policy

Google Places API

When you browse nearby places, your approximate location and search terms are sent to Google Places through our backend to return relevant places, photos, ratings, and hours. Google Privacy Policy

Google Maps Platform

Used in Going Out to provide directions. When you open directions, your approximate location is shared with Google Maps. Google Privacy Policy

Stripe

Used to process website payments for TransitionCommand. KIBU never receives or stores your raw payment card data. Stripe Privacy Policy

Apple App Store and Google Play

Distribute the apps and process subscription and purchase billing. Your purchase is governed by the store's terms and privacy policy.

Formspree

Used to process contact form submissions on kibuglobal.com. Your name, email, and message are transmitted to Formspree and forwarded to our support email. Formspree Privacy Policy

Going Out does not currently display ads or use advertising cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies. Going Out has no account, so there is no sign-in cookie.

Depending on your location, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to Rectification

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

Right to Erasure

Request deletion of your personal data, including reviews you posted.

Right to Portability

Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to Object

Object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Right to Withdraw Consent

Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line "Data Rights Request." We will respond within 30 days. EU/EEA residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. 08 Children's Privacy

Our products are not directed at children under the age of 13, or under 16 in the European Union. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

09 International Data Transfers

KIBU Global Ventures LLC is based in the United States. Some service providers (Cloudflare, Google, Stripe, Anthropic, Formspree) process data in the United States and other countries.

For users in the EU/EEA, transfers to the United States are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as required under GDPR. Our third-party providers maintain EU-US data transfer compliance under their respective frameworks.

10 Security

No system is fully secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, including within 72 hours under GDPR.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by in-app notification. Your continued use of KIBU products after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
